Dream Teams: Leeds United

By Simon Rice

There was once a time when 'United' did not just mean Manchester. During the late 60s and early 70s, Leeds were one of the best teams in the land.

Under the stewardship of the legendary Don Revie, Elland Road would see two League Championships, the FA Cup, the League Cup and two Inter-Cities Fairs Cups won by his team.

Predictably, many of the players from that era make it into this Dream Team, but who do you think should have been included? Leave your comments and suggestions below.

The list of missing players is long and distinguished: Tony Currie, Duncan McKenzie, Paul Madeley, Trevor Cherry, David Harvey, Gary McAllister, Gordon McQueen; to name just a few. But, you've omitted probably the trickiest winger ever to have played the game: Eddie Gray. Watch this and be dazzled by his skill: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nkd3HWQu32Q&feature=related

It's a brave man that leaves Norman Hunter out of the team! This one's easy: the dream Leeds is just the classic Revie team of 1970 vintage, minus Sprake and Jones (unfortunate because he's in John Charles' spot).
