ESPN deleted a tweet today after apparently mistaking Willian for Chelsea team-mate Loic Remy.

Wanting to wish Chelsea's Brazilian midfielder a happy birthday, the ESPN UK Twitter account, which is followed by over 800,000 people, sent out the following message.

"He had a great game for Chelsea yesterday, and today Willian can celebrate his 27th birthday. Happy birthday! #CFC"

Only, there was a major mistake with the tweet as it was accompanied by a picture of Chelsea striker Loic Remy.

Others on Twitter quickly pointed out the error - with more than one tweeting along the lines of "You only had one job".

The tweet was quickly removed when the error was spotted.

Willian scored in Chelsea's opening game of the season, a 2-2 draw with Swansea. Remy was an unused substitute.
