Eva Carneiro has found herself very much in the media spotlight recently following Jose Mourinho's angry comments seemingly directed at her following Chelsea's draw with Swansea.
Mourinho branded Carneiro naive after the game, for running on to treat Eden Hazard and temporarily leaving Chelsea with nine men, despite the doctor being waved onto the pitch by the referee.
But who is Carneiro? Here is everything you need to know.
Profile
Born: Gibraltar, 1973
Studied medicine at Nottingham University and spent two years at the Australasian College of Sports Physicians, before completing her MSc in Sport and Exercise at London’s Queen Mary University.
She became Chelsea first team doctor in 2010/11 after two years working with the reserves.
She has also worked with Team GB athletes prior to the Beijing Olympics and Hope Powell's England women's team.
Carneiro says she fell in love with football while in Brazil during the 1998 World Cup: “Brazil was playing Mexico and we stopped at a town which was a popular honeymoon tourist destination for Brazilians.
“They boasted a huge sports arena and had a World Cup party to celebrate Brazil’s first appearance. At the time I was particularly interested in learning how to samba to be absolutely honest. The Brazilians danced on the bar after every goal and at halftime. By the end of the game I was hooked on both football and samba.”
