Fifa's reputation is at an "all-time low", said David Cameron yesterday as he described Sepp Blatter's re-election as president of the world governing body as a "farce".

The Prime Minister told MPs the Football Association should "play a very major role" in helping reform it.

During Prime Minister's Questions, Mr Cameron told the Commons: "Fifa's reputation is now at an all-time low and obviously the election with just one candidate was something of a farce, but it has to become more transparent and more accountable."
