Female footballer falls foul of web video
A hard-tackling, hair-pulling female footballer has become an internet sensation after a series of violent fouls were caught on camera.
Elizabeth Lambert was suspended from the University of New Mexico team after being seen hitting, kicking and, in one instance, pulling an opponent down by her hair during a game against Brigham Young University.
Team coach Kit Vela said: "Her actions clearly crossed the line of fair play and good sportsmanship."
The college player has apologised for her actions but she could still face further disciplinary action.
She said: "I am deeply and wholeheartedly regretful for my actions.
"My actions were uncalled for. I let my emotions get the best of me in a heated situation. I take full responsibility for my actions."

Perhaps it would be slammed in your face!
I think she must base her game on Man United journeyman Darren Fletcher's.
A bit of hair pulling and a slap on the back.......... yawn.
She should try assie-rules, suit her right down to the ground.
By the way, if this woman plays again, the opposing players should all wear hair extensions, so when she starts pullling hair, it comes away in her hand.
Yes, to answer your question, but modern footballers are worth
millions and the game is much faster now . I'd like to see a graph of
accounts of injuries, say the last 30 years and if it varies division to
division.
The coach says : "Her actions clearly crossed the line of fair play and good sportsmanship."
You don't say - she attacked other players - that is not crossing the line - it's cheating.
The player says : "I am deeply and wholeheartedly regretful for my actions. " Because I have been caught - in fact I would not have mentioned any of this - except I was caught on camera.
What a crock of an apology - turns your stomach.
"My actions were uncalled for. I let my emotions get the best of me in a heated situation. I take full responsibility for my actions." - No you don't - you got caught - and the incidents on camera were not heated moments - the attacks on the other players were calculated to intimidate or even injure the other player.
If she did that to your daughter or wife - or you - in the street - you would have her arrested.
