Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand will be fit for Sunday's Premier League clash with Chelsea after missing the last four matches with a back injury.
"He's missed the last few games, and that's given us time to get things settled down," United manager Alex Ferguson said Friday. "He's one of the best centre backs in the world, and he does make a difference because he's got the presence to play in these big games."
Defender Patrice Evra will also return to the side after being banned for four matches after the Football Association delivered its verdict on a post-match brawl at Chelsea in April.
Ferguson didn't say if Cristiano Ronaldo would feature after emerging unscathed Thursday from a crash with his two-day-old Ferrari.
The only long-term injuries are to Wes Brown and Owen Hargreaves
"We had 24 players training this morning," Ferguson said. "We've everyone fit for Sunday except Wes and Owen, which is a really good position to be in."Reuse content
