The Manchester United striker Federico Macheda has been fined £15,000 and warned about his future conduct after he admitted making homophobic comments on Twitter.
The 20-year-old Italian, who is on loan at Queen's Park Rangers, was charged by the Football Association last month along with the Newcastle forward, Nile Ranger, and Walsall's Manny Smith.

O'Kelly takes over at Hereford
Hereford yesterday appointed Richard O'Kelly as their new manager after Jamie Pitman was relieved of his duties by the League Two club. O'Kelly, 55, who left his role as a coach at League One Walsall, returns to Edgar Street having been assistant manager to Graham Turner between 2002 and 2004.
