Sky Sports have targeted Frank Lampard to be their next big-name signing once he retires from football, according to reports.
Lampard, 36, is set to be in the Sky Sports studios this month to be a guest pundit in the last-16 of the Champions League.
According to the Daily Mail, Lampard will decide if he likes the job enough to take it up after his career ends - the Chelsea legend will move to Major League Soccer and New York City in July, though it remains to be seen how long he will play for the club.
Sky Sports recently made the big money signing of Thierry Henry, on a six-year deal worth about £4million a year.
The channel continues to battle with BT Sport for supremacy in the lucrative market, with the two channels, and newcomers Discovery and beIN Sports, to negotiate for the rights to show live matches between 2015 and 2019.
The auction could reach more than £4billion.Reuse content
