Mikel Arteta: Arsenal vice-captain set to leave the club next summer with no plans of a new contract
Spaniard's deal expires in 2015 and talks have not begun

Arsenal vice-captain Mikel Arteta is set to leave Arsenal at the end of next season, with the club reportedly having no plans to offer him a new contract.
Arteta's deal expires in 2015, and while Arsenal have concluded new contracts for Aaron Ramsey, Santi Cazorla, Gedion Zelalem, Wojciech Szczesny, Per Mertesacker and Tomas Rosicky in recent weeks, the Spanish midfielder has so far been snubbed.
The 32-year-old has joined in August 2011, and has made 87 appearances for the club in the Premier League.
Arteta, however, has bore the brunt of Gunners' supporters frustrations in recent weeks, with some fans responding to his Birthday message on his official Facebook page yesterday by saying that he should leave the club.
Arsenal face Manchester City on Saturday in a crucial match in their aspirations to finish in a Champions League spot this season, with fifth-placed Everton, Arteta's former side, only six points behind, and with a game in hand.
The Gunners then take on the Toffees in the following match at Goodison Park on 6 April.
