Manchester United's shocking 4-0 Capital One Cup thrashing by League One MK Dons has been given the usual humorous treatment across the internet, with even current professional footballers Emmanuel Frimpong and Edin Dzeko unable to resist cracking a joke at United's expense.
Two goals each from Will Grigg and Benik Afobe handed United one of the worst defeats in the club's history. It was the first time since 1995 that they had to play in the second round of the competition.
Before the match it was announced that Angel Di Maria had signed for Louis van Gaal's side for a British-record £60m from Real Madrid. With no wins from Van Gaal's first three matches in charge of United, the tricky Argentinian winger is badly needed.
Frimpong, who is currently without a club, and Manchester City's Dzeko led the trolling.
