Mourinho left 'scrambled', 'shell shocked' and with 'egg on his face' - today's best Chelsea related headlines...

Newspaper headlines make play on Jose Mourinho 'egg' comments after Chelsea lose to Basle

When Jose Mourinho compared his young Chelsea side to eggs that 'needed a mum' earlier this week, he could not have imagined how much those words would come back to haunt him in today's newspapers.

The Chelsea manager described his side before the Champions League meeting with Basle as "beautiful, young eggs. Eggs that need a Mum, in this case... a Dad... to take care of them, to keep them warm during the winter, to bring the blanket and work and improve them. One day the moment will arrive when the weather changes, the sun rises, you break the eggs and the eggs are ready to go for life at the top level."

Last night, the Blues suffered their first home defeat in the Champions League group stages for 10 years - leading to the following headlines in today's papers...
