Barcelona and Brazil superstar Neymar has been left furious that Chile's Gary Medel went unpunished during Brazil's friendly win over Chile at the Emirates.

Medel, who spent a season at Cardiff City, appeared to tread on Neymar in the first-half of Brazil's 1-0 win in north London.

The game was officiated by Premier League referee Martin Atkinson but he, along with the assistant referee who was standing just yards away, missed the incident and Medel didn't receive a card of any colour.

Speaking after the game Neymar was angry, likening the tackle to something from popular Mixed Martial Arts promotion UFC.

"That can't be considered part of the game, no. If we say that is part of the game, then the name [of the sport] is wrong. We can't call it football -- we should call it UFC.

"But what can we do? The referee didn't see it. He's there but he didn't see it. There are four officials and nobody saw anything.

"I am the one who suffers the pain. I think it is because of the rivalry [between Brazil and Chile], and you end up suffering because of it."

Speaking about Atkinson, he added: "We have someone on the pitch who's in charge, and he has to issue a punishment. You have to have an eye on these things."
