No inquiry over Terry booking

The Football Association is unlikely to investigate the circumstances in which John Terry received a yellow card – ostensibly for time-wasting – in stoppage-time at the end of Chelsea's 3-0 win over Wolves on Saturday.

The booking was the England captain's fifth of the season and conveniently means he will miss the Carling Cup tie with Liverpool, a game he would likely not have been selected for anyway. The FA, though, accepts it is all but impossible to prove intent and are not likely to pursue a case.
