Jose Mourinho's first act as Chelsea coach will be to shed £150m worth of players from Claudio Ranieri's squad, according to the Sunday Express, which tips Hernan Crespo, Juan Sebastian Veron, Marcel Desailly, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Celestine Babayaro, Jesper Gronkjaer, Geremi, Mario Stanic, Emmanuel Petit, Robert Huth, Winston Bogarde, Marco Ambrosio, Marco Melchiot and Neil Sullivan to be shown the door.

The Sunday Mirror says Frank Lampard, reportedly sought by Juventus and Inter, is wanted by Real Madrid in a deal that could see Fernando Morientes and Roberto Carlos move to Stamford Bridge. The Mail on Sunday says Carlos has agreed to join Chelsea, but the News of the World says he will stay in Madrid if he gets a new deal.

The Mirror also reports a £60m Chelsea bid for Barcelona's Ronaldinho, quotes Porto's Costinha as saying he wants to follow Mourinho to London and reckons Madrid's Jose Antonio Camacho wants to sign Patrick Vieira from Arsenal.

Newcastle are after Chelsea's Eidur Gudjohnsen, claims the News of the World, which says Sir Bobby Robson also wants Danny Mills or Blackburn's Lucas Neill and could snatch Chelsea winger Bolo Zenden in a one-year loan deal. The same paper reckons Aston Villa's Mark Delaney is also a target, as is Wigan's Jimmy Bullard.

The Express says Kenny Dalglish is ready for a second stint as Liverpool manager should attempts to lure Rafael Benitez from Valencia fail, but Monaco coach Didier Deschamps is also said to be in the frame. The same paper says Charlton are confident Alan Curbishley, said to be on Liverpool's short list, will stay at The Valley, although the Sunday Mirror reckons Charlton are lining up West Ham's Alan Pardew as replacement. The Daily Mirror says Valencia will improve Benitez's salary and give him full control of transfers to ensure he stays.

The Express, The People and News of the World say Carlos Queiroz is to return to his job as No 2 to Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United after being sacked as Real Madrid coach.

The People claims Tottenham will offer Celtic boss Martin O'Neill £2m a year to move to White Hart Lane, or else they may turn to up-and-coming Dutch coach Martin Jol.

Everton are finalising a deal for Rangers centre-half Craig Moore, according to The People, with Gary Naysmith moving the other way. The News of the World says Southampton will join Fulham in chasing Everton striker Tomasz Radzinski.

The Daily Mirror believes Fulham are after Arsenal's Ray Parlour, while Leicester hope to sign Fulham's Jon Harley on a season's loan, according to The People, with Manchester City's Danny Tiatto an alternative.

Promoted West Brom want Blackburn striker Andy Cole, according to the Daily Mirror, although his £50,000-a-week wages could be a problem. The People says Sunderland's Julio Arca and Liverpool's Djimi Traoré are also targets, while the News of the World reckons the Baggies want Chelsea's Emmanuel Petit.
