“Fantastic experience! Shattered,” wrote Southampton manager Ronald Koeman on his Twitter account.

The Southampton manager, pictured covered in sweat in his ice hockey gear, has taken his side on a trip top to Davos, Switzerland, this week following some disappointing results in the league - he wanted the players to work on team building and to recharge his side for the final 10 games of the season.

Although no balls or cones got close to the players during their trip, Koeman said his side would not be spared from any activities such as an ice hockey clinic.

“It’s not lying 30 degrees on the beach. We do a little bit more healthy trip. It’s good for the body, it’s good for the mind to come back and to prepare the next game.” Koeman told the Southampton Daily Echo.

None of the players got injured during the clinic but it did provide the public some hilarious footage of the players trying their best at the sport.

None of the players looked very comfortable but as can be seen on the video, Italian striker Graziano Pelle took no risks and made sure he held closely on to one of the instructors on the ice.

Ronald Koeman and Southampton are set to return on English soil Saturday morning and are playing away against Chelsea the following week.
