13. Saving England from humiliation in Andorra (March 2007)
Somehow, international minnows Andorra went into half-time level at 0-0 with England. Boos rang around the stadium and Steve McLaren looked certain for the chop. Up stepped Steven Gerrard: his two second-half strikes and a debut international goal from David Nugent were enough to dig England out of a hole.
