Supporters review of the season: Everton

Everton fans habitually look out for turning points in a season. On 25 October our already injury-hit squad was out of two cup competitions, were yet to win a home game and were 0-1 down to Manchester United.

By stalling on a new deal, David Moyes had been sending out negative signals and morale was low. Then, midway through the match, Phil Neville put in a crunching tackle on Cristiano Ronaldo and, in that one single moment, the belief came back!

We drew that match, went on to win over half of our remaining fixtures and even the loss of key players couldn't stop us from finishing fifth! And then there was the FA Cup run! To beat four top-flight teams on the way to the final is one thing, but when three of them are Liverpool, Aston Villa and Manchester United it's simply outstanding. And even the eventual loss to Chelsea in the final couldn't dampen our spirits as, all things considered, 2008/09 has been an outstanding season to be an Evertonian!

Which team were your best opponents?

Chelsea. Probably the team Everton would most resemble if we had the money to spend. Hard working, with class players all over the pitch. We really need to work out how to beat them!

Who would you most like your team to sign this summer?

Cristiano Ronaldo - reckon he'd do ok out on the right for us!

What was the weirdest/funniest moment of your season?

The injuries to Yakubu, Mikel Arteta and Phil Jagielka - three massive players, three massive injuries and not one player near any of them when they got crocked!
