Supporters review of the season: Sunderland

Sunderland's season can only be described as very disappointing.

Before the season started we were all talking about Keane taking Sunderland to "the next level" and to most fans that would mean to better the 15th place position of 07-08 and maybe finish mid-table. Keane made a lot of mistakes and his last mistake, to drop Anton Ferdinand for the Bolton game for being late for training, was a mistake too far. Quinn appointed Ricky Sbragia as manager, which, in a lot of fans minds, nearly cost us our Premier League place. Sbragia had a pretty good start, with two wins, a draw and a defeat and we were looking good in 10th position in February after a 0-0 draw at Arsenal but negativity crept in when Spurs got a late equaliser at the Stadium of Light, and in the end the crucial 1-0 win at home to Hull kept us up!

Which team were your best opponents?

Sunderland's best opponents without doubt were Manchester United. Sir Alex can pick about three teams and they could all finish as champions!

Who would you most like your team to sign this summer?

As Djibril Cisse is not to sign, I would like to see Darren Bent at the club, and maybe a creative midfielder like Jermaine Jenas of Spurs.

What was the weirdest/funniest moment of your season?

Newcastle relegated by a Damien Duff own goal.

Mark out of 10 for the season?

A very disappointing 4
