May 14 - Roberto Mancini (Man City)
A year to the day after delivering the Premier League title, Roberto Mancini was sacked by Manchester City. The official reasons given by the club were the Italian's failure to meet 'stated targets' and a desire for a more 'holistic approach'. The decision to part with the former Inter Milan boss came days after City's FA Cup final defeat to Wigan. That match at Wembley was the culmination of an under whelming season which had seen City's attempts to retain their title fail with a whimper and a Champions League campaign that came to an end in the group stage for the second year running. Mancini lasted three-and-a-half years at the club and as well as winning the Premier League, also delivered the 2011 FA Cup.
