Dean Saunders left Doncaster to become manager of struggling Wolves but after winning just five of his 20 matches in charge, was unable to save the club from their second relegation in as many years. Saunders made clear he wanted to stay on as manager but the club opted to look for a new man to take the helm in what will be their fifth appointment in little more 15 months.
