<b>Alex Ferguson</b><br/> Former Manchester United forward Mark Hughes coined the phrase 'the hairdryer' during his time at Old Trafford. It was used to explain how Sir Alex would scream and shout just inches away from the players faces. Fergie also notably kicked a boot during a dressing room rant which left David Beckham needing stitches on his forehead. The United boss said of the apparent accident, "It was a freakish incident. If I tried it 100 or a million times it couldn't happen again. If I could I would have carried on playing."

I think Cloughie was the scariest because he was unpredictable, bordering on insane.

( It was much worse than the shoe incident suffered by the President, if I am not mistaken.)
