Tony Mowbray's tenure as manager of Celtic came to its inevitable end yesterday, following a 4-0 thrashing at the hands of St Mirren.

The former West Brom boss always seemed a strange appointment, unless it's normal for a manager who just got his team relegated to be given one of the biggest jobs in football.

Results didn't go Mowbray's way and with his team 10 points adrift of Rangers, the humiliation at the hands of lowly St Mirren was the final nail in the coffin.

Here we take a look at the managerial appointments that started badly and went downhill from there.
