At 36, Tim Cahill might be in the twilight years of his football career but the former Everton and Millwall man showed he still has an eye for a pass when he picked out his son in the stands with an incredible volley during an Asian Cup group match.

In the video uploaded on Cahill’s Instagram account, the Australian is filmed warming up ahead of his country’s match against Kuwait, when his 10-year-old Shae calls out for his dad to kick him the ball.

On hearing his son, Cahill uses the skill and accuracy that saw him score 56 goals for Everton in eight years to kick the ball from his hands and into the arms of his ecstatic son.

While his left-footed thunderbolt against The Netherlands in the World Cup was good, this was better.
