World Cup Watch: Goalkeepers
Thursday 27 May 2010
In anticipation of the World Cup, The Independent will be running down the key people and factors to keep an eye out for in South Africa with our
World Cup Watch series.
From free-kick takers to WAGs, blasts from the past to the youngsters, we'll have it all covered before things kick-off in Johannesburg.
Here, we bring you the goalkeepers to watch at the 2010 World Cup. Over the years there have been some memorable stoppers. We've enjoyed Jorge Campos and his zany kit, Ramon Quiroga who managed to pick up a yellow card in the opposition's half and Jose Luis Chilavert who would take Paraguay's free-kicks. Hopefully 2010 can produce another hero. Here's our pick of the most likely candidates.
