Everton will still be without Wayne Rooney when they face Tottenham Hotspur at Goodison Park tonight. The England international will be completing a two-match ban while his striking partner Duncan Ferguson starts a four-game suspension.
In total, Everton are missing eight players, with David Weir completing his three-match suspension while the reserve centre-back Peter Clarke still has two matches of his ban to go.
On the injury front, the defender Alan Stubbs is doubtful with a groin problem and he could miss his third successive match. Francis Jeffers has a back problem while Li Tie is still in China nursing a broken leg.
Gary Naysmith has a slight groin injury but he will be fit for a game Everton know they should win to ensure their survival in the Premiership.
Jamie Redknapp is set to lead Tottenham tonight, despite having 20 stitches in a facial wound last weekend. Redknapp suffered a badly cut lip following a collision with his cousin Frank Lampard during the game against Chelsea at White Hart Lane on Saturday.
Spurs are also boosted by the return to the squad of Simon Davies, but there are doubts over Mauricio Taricco (thigh) and Christian Ziege (groin).
