Aaron Ramsey injury: Arsenal midfielder suffers another setback and will be out for 'two weeks', claims Arsene Wenger

Welshman has been sidlined since Boxing Day with thigh injury

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that Aaron Ramsey has suffered another setback in training, and will not return to the Gunners squad for "two weeks" at least.

The Welsh midfielder, the club's standout performer this season, injured his thigh in Arsenal's 3-1 victory at West Ham on Boxing Day, and has encountered difficulties in his recovery to full fitness.

Wenger said after watching his team's painful 2-2 draw with Swansea on Wednesday night: "Ramsey is maybe two weeks [away] maybe. He's had a setback."

"He's had some scar tissue, then you have to slow down and the tendon is in a sensitive place. You always have to push but not too far."

In other injury news, Wenger had no update on Laurent Koscielny, who is sidelined with a calf problem, and said that the club's record signing, Mesut Ozil, could still be three weeks away from returning.

"Koscielny is out for a while, after that Ozil is at least two or three weeks."
