Liverpool defender Andre Wisdom has recovered from the knee injury which kept him out at the weekend and returns to the squad to face Tottenham at White Hart Lane tomorrow.
If the teenager regains his place, winger Stewart Downing - who played at left-back at Swansea on Sunday - would be the player most likely to make way.
Midfielder Lucas Leiva, who played an hour for the reserves on Friday, will not be included but could come into contention at the weekend.
Provisional squad: Reina, Wisdom, Skrtel, Agger, Johnson, Gerrard, Allen, Sahin, Enrique, Suarez, Sterling, Jones, Carragher, Coates, Shelvey, Henderson, Cole, Suso.
