Anthony Martial has already equalled Radamel Falcao's goalscoring tally for Manchester United.

The 19-year-old forward Martial really has impressed since his £36m move to United from Monaco last month, and after scoring in United's 3-0 win over Ipswich last night, he has now netted four goals in four games - the same as Falcao scored in his 29 games for the club last season.

Falcao, now at Chelsea, joined the club on a lucrative loan deal from Monaco for the whole of last term, but a mixture of injuries and lack of form meant he was far from prolific, unlike Martial.

After last night's victory, United manager Van Gaal said that success will not go to Martial's head.

"That is not so difficult because he is a player who is very modest," he said in a news conference. "He knows he can score because of his fellow players."

Van Gaal was able to bring Martial on against Liverpool and Ipswich when his side were already leading and he felt that helped the teenager.

"We made him two times very easily because we won the game and then the gaps are existing and then with his speed and his composure he can score," he explained. "He did it also against Liverpool and now again. We are happy but still we have to keep our feet on the ground."
