Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech is confident that the return of some of the club’s senior players from injury will be enough to capture the Premier League title.
Arsene Wenger’s side have been installed as the favourites for the league championship after their impressive 2-1 home victory over fellow contenders Manchester City on Monday night.
The win meant that they have now only lost once in the last 11 league games, a record they have achieved despite missing a number of key players through injury.
Cech, who joined the club last summer from defending champions Chelsea, believes that this fact alone proves that Arsenal have the strength in depth needed for a successful title tilt.
"The squad is very strong and once we have everybody available, the manager can use every player the way he likes,” he told the BBC’s Football Focus .
“That will be to our advantage and we'll be able to go all the way.”

On one occasion he seemed to simply fall over rather than bother competing with Giroud.

They’d do well to get a tenth of that after a display in which he gave the ball away in critical areas time and again, contributing decisively to Arsenal’s second.

Joel Campbell, who has come to the fore during the club’s recent fitness troubles, is the only outfield player at the club to stay injury-free throughout this calendar year.
Alexis Sanchez, Mikel Arteta, Jack Wilshere, Francis Coquelin, Danny Welbeck, Santi Cazorla and Tomas Rosicky are all currently sidelined.
"We've been through the season with plenty of problems. Everything isn't going as smoothly as we would like it to,” admits Cech.
“We can't avoid injuries - sometimes you have more, sometimes you have less - but we showed that even with the unlucky injuries at the moment that we manage to win games.
"I believe we will benefit from players coming back into the team, once they are fit.
"The season is long and anything can happen. But if we stay where we are until March or April, then we have the chance to win the league."
Arsenal’s next league fixture sees them travel to Southampton on Boxing Day.
