Welcome to The Independent's live coverage of tonight's Premier League meeting between Arsenal and West Bromwich Albion.

Arsene Wenger's side were booed off by their own supporters on Sunday following the 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace. Tonight, they may simply be pleased to see a few home fans in attendance.

As many as 20,000 seats are expected to be empty for tonight's match, due to a combination of factors.

The Gunners' slump into slugging it out over fourth place has disgruntled a lot of the Emirates faithful and some are planning to stage a walk-out in the 75th minute in order to register their annoyance with the club's board.

Manager Arsene Wenger praised the showing of Alexis Sanchez, who continued his recent form. "We did the job in a serious way," the Frenchman said after the 2-0 victory. "We played well technically and the only regret is we should have scored more goals. The early goal helped rather than being anxious about the consequence of the result and it helped the team.It looks like Sanchez is back sharper, more confident. In the first half he was more exceptional."
