Arsene Wenger was the surprise winner of Manager of the Year at the inaugural Facebook Football Awards last night.

However, seeing the Frenchman pick up the gong should perhaps not have come as a shock.

The victory for Wenger follows a recent trend of Arsenal winning awards voted for by the public, leading to accusations that fans of the Gunners are hijacking the polls.

In addition to Wenger's win at the Facebook Football Awards, Alexis Sanchez was crowned Player of the Year and Arsenal won the League Club of the Year despite a third place finish in the table.

The clean sweep for Arsenal comes after Jack Wilshere won Match of the Day's Goal of the Season award for his strike against West Brom on the final day of the season.

Then earlier this week, in another publicly voted for award, Sanchez was named the PFA Player of the Year.
