Jose Mourinho has criticised referee Chris Foy for refusing to explain his decisions in Chelsea's 1-0 defeat by Aston Villa yesterday. The League leaders had Willian and Ramires sent off along with the manager himself, and Nemanja Matic had a goal ruled out for handball.

When asked whether he expected punishment for earlier encroaching on the pitch, the Portuguese went: "Me? Me or the ref? No, I don't expect, because I did nothing. I tried to speak on the pitch, and I tried in the dressing rooms. In the dressing rooms I tried to ask politely, 'can you give me five seconds?', and he refused.

"You know, it's a big occasion for me to know about the character of Mr Foy, because I want to know what he's going to write about my sending-off."
