Goals from Fabian Delph and Scott gave Aston Villa a 2-0 win in their FA Cup quarter-final clash against West Brom at Villa Park.

The visitors enjoyed the best of the first half, with Saido Berahino forcing a fine early save from Shay Given before his strike partner Brown Ideye squandered a wonderful opportunity.

Tim Sherwood's team were much-improved after the break, upping the tempo and breaking the deadlock after 51 minutes when Delph beat Boaz Myhill at his near post with a low left-footed drive.

Claudio Yacob saw red for a second yellow card with ten minutes to go, before the excellent Sinclair put the game beyond doubt with a well-taken second goal.

Villa's second-half substitute Jack Grealish received his own marching orders in injury time after two bookings in quick succession, while a series of pitch invasions from jubilant Villa fans caused repeated delays before the final whistle.
