Barcelona refuse to give up on Fabregas
Barcelona president Joan Laporta is refusing to give up hope of persuading Arsenal to part company with Cesc Fabregas.
The 22-year-old Gunners skipper is continually linked with a return to his first club and Laporta claims a fresh approach is currently being prepared.
Fabregas left the Camp Nou as a 16-year-old and has gone on to make more than 250 first-team appearances for the north London club.
"Cesc Fabregas is desired by us for many reasons," Laporta told The Sun.
"Barcelona have decided to fight for the kid for next season.
"The money? This will be decided at the end of March to prepare for a deal.
"Cesc is such a big player. Our intention is to convince the Londoners about the sale.
"It won't be easy, but we have good relations with the Gunners."
