Manchester United's new signing, World Cup winner Bastian Schweinsteiger, said he is eyeing numerous league titles in the Premier League, having won eight of them at Bayern Munich.

The 30-year-old midfielder was talking alongside new manager Louis van Gaal as well as Morgan Schneiderlin and Matteo Darmian during United's pre-season tour of America.

The trio join Memphis Depay at Old Trafford, making the club's total spending this summer over £80 million.

Schweinsteiger said he was incredibly happy to be at Manchester United after a long career at Bayern, admitting, "It's a big honour. It's a new step in my life."
