The idea of seeing the Beckham name feature once more in the Premier League is still firmly alive after David’s eldest son Brooklyn took part in a behind-closed-doors match for Fulham’s Under-15s side against Southend on Sunday.

With his mother Victoria Beckham looking on, Brooklyn featured in the training match as he continues to forge his own footballing career.

Just last month, he was seen training with members of the Manchester United academy, with the sight of a Beckham at the Carrington training base once again proving nostalgic for some United fans.

The 14-year-old has also spent time with both Chelsea and Queens Park Rangers this year, and it seems the teenager is keen to carve out his own footballing career and emerge from the hefty shadow left by his father, who captained England 59 times during his 115 international-cap career.

The Motspur Park training base is the closest Premier League HQ to the family home, and following their 4-0 defeat at the hands of Liverpool, Martin Jol could do with an injection of a talented youngster to spark his Fulham side into life.

Unfortunately, Beckham is still a little too young to be that spark, but he certainly seems to be laying the foundations to a football career in the future.
