Jose Mourinho has picked young goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois over Chelsea veteran Petr Cech.

Cech, 32, has been Chelsea's No 1 for 10 years, playing almost 500 matches and keeping 220 clean sheets, a club record.

Courtois, 22, has just spent three outstanding years on loan at Atletico Madrid where he has risen to become one of the best in the world, helping Diego Simeone's team to their first La Liga title in 18 years as well as the Champions League final.

Jose Mourinho names two other debutants, £30m midfielder Cesc Fabregas and £32m striker Diego Costa in the team, but Filipe Luis is given more time to recover, with Cesar Azpilicueta lining up at left-back.

World Cup winner Andre Schurrle also starts.

Sean Dyche names two of his new signings in the starting line up. The experienced Matt Taylor, who came in from West Ham, starts in midfield and Lukas Jutkiewicz, a £2.5m signing from Middlesbrough, will play alongside last season's top goalscorer Danny Ings.

Line-ups:

Burnley: Heaton, Trippier, Shackell, Duff, Mee, Arfield, Jones, Marney, Taylor, Ings, Jutkiewicz.

Subs: Gilks, Dummigan, Long, Wallace, Kightly, Sordell, Barnes.

Chelsea: Courtois; Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta; Fabregas, Matic; Schurrle, Oscar, Hazard; Diego Costa

Subs: Cech, Luis, Zouma, Mikel, Willian, Torres, Drogba.
