That means Liverpool will continue with the 3-4-3 formation that saw them draw at home to Arsenal last week, thanks to a late equaliser from Martin Skrtel.

Raheem Sterling continues to operate as a lone striker - or 'false 9' - with Rickie Lambert consigned to the bench.

Burnley will look to improve on an impressive display at White Hart Lane, where they were only beaten by a brilliant Erik Lamela strike.

Burnley: Heaton, Trippier, Shackell, Keane, Mee; Arfield, Jones, Marney, Boyd; Barnes, Ings.

Subs: Gilks, Long, Kightly, Wallace, Reid, Jutkiewicz, Vokes.

Liverpool: Jones, Toure, Skrtel, Sakho, Henderson, Lucas, Gerrard, Markovic, Coutinho, Lallana, Sterling.

Subs: Mignolet, Lambert, Moreno, Manquillo, Can, Balotelli, Ojo.
