Chelsea secured a 1-0 victory in a post-season friendly against Sydney FC to round out their tour and cap what has been an excellent season.

However, despite securing a first Premier League trophy since 2010 and added the Capital One Cup to boot, the season finale could well be overshadowed by Jose Mourinho's post-match comments in criticising teenager Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

Mourinho sent the midfielder on in place of Diego Costa shortly before half-time, but the 19-year-old was hauled off again in the 69th minute with what appeared to be a back injury. But Mourinho hit out at Loftus-Cheek's work rate, and labelled his performance "unacceptable".

The game also marked what could be Petr Cech's final appearance for Chelsea, with the goalkeeper's future at Stamford Bridge far from certain, and if it was to be his Chelsea swansong he can look to thank Loic Remy for making it a triumphant one with his first-half strike finding the back of the net.
