Manchester United emerged with a 2-1 victory from their Premier League encounter with Crystal Palace after a late goal from midfielder Marouane Fellaini.
Juan Mata opened the scoring for Louis van Gaal's side, who were missing both Robin van Persie and Angel Di Maria due to the virus that swept through the United squad this week.
When Scott Dann was adjudged to have handled the ball in the penalty area, Mata stepped up to dispatch the spot-kick, but United lead wasn't to last.
In the second half, a free-kick was conceded on the edge of the United area. Jason Puncheon, on at half-time to replace Joe Ledley, curled his effort towards goal, and the ball skimmed off Daley Blind's head to leave David De Gea no chance of getting to it before finding the back of the net.
Palace pushed for a winner, but it would go to United as Julian Speroni rushed out of his goal to claim a cross, only to completely misjudge it and allow Fellaini to head into the empty goal.
