Cudicini signs new deal at Spurs
Tottenham goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini has signed a new one-year contract with the White Hart Lane club.
The Italian, who moved to Tottenham from Chelsea in January last year, underwent surgery on his right wrist and pelvis after a motorbike accident in November, ruling him out of action for the rest of the season.
He has now resumed training and will work with goalkeeping coach Tony Parks over the summer to improve his fitness ahead of the new campaign.
Spurs manager Harry Redknapp revealed after the incident, which happened when Cudicini was on his way to training, that he was unaware the player rode a motorbike.
"We don't let them do it," he said. "I've never even thought about a player riding a motorbike. We didn't know he had a bike and I'm sure he won't be riding one again to work."
