Everton vs Chelsea player ratings: Who was best in the nine-goal thriller at Goodison?

Our take on the performances from Goodison Park

Chelsea took the spoils after a nine-goal thriller against Everton ended with the Blues eventually winning 6-3 at Goodison Park.

Chelsea started brightly and were two ahead inside three minutes thanks to goals from Diego Costa and Branislav Ivanovic.

Kevin Mirallas got a goal back for the home team but Seamus Coleman put through his own net to restore Chelsea's two-goal advantage.

Steven Naismith pegged back the away side for a second time but again Jose Mourinho's men restored their cushion with a rare goal from Nemanja Matic.

Samuel Eto'o, against his former club, gave Everton yet another glimmer of hope but Ramires and a Costa second, his fourth in three games, insured Chelsea made it a 100% winning start to their season.

So, after a terrific game, how did each player fare? Here's our take on their performances at Goodison...
