Ferencvaros vs Chelsea: Cesc Fabregas and Ramires score brilliant goals for the Blues... but Didier Drogba limps off injured in Hungary

Chelsea have one game left before Premier League season starts

With just one pre-season match left until the Premier League campaign starts, Chelsea recorded another win but saw Didier Drogba limp off with an ankle injury.

Chelsea fell behind to Hungarian side Ferencvaros through former Fulham and West Brom midfielder Zoltan Gera and it went from bad to worse for Jose Mourinho's team when Drogba went off just 28 minutes into the match.

The 36-year-old striker, starting for the first time since returning to the club, didn't go down under any challenge. Chelsea are yet to comment on the extent of his injury.

Chelsea were down at the break but a number of Mourinho substitutions, as well as a switch in system, changed the game.

The Blues got back into the game thanks to a fantastic strike from midfielder Ramires; with the ball only half cleared, the Brazilian chested the ball down on the edge of the box and smashed a strike into the top corner.

New £30m man Cesc Fabregas then showed why Mourinho paid that price to bring him to Stamford Bridge. Picking up a ball on the right hand side, Fabregas weaved his way past mesmerised defenders before slotting into the corner.

Chelsea looked good in the second half playing with a 3-5-1-1 formation. Kurt Zouma, Gary Cahill and Branislav Ivanovic were the centre-backs, with Cesar Azpilicueta and Mohamed Salah impressing in wing back roles. Fabregas was again the star for the Blues, controlling the tempo for much of the game.

He, along with Chelsea's other blockbuster signing Diego Costa, have impressed during pre-season and Chelsea fans can be excited for the coming season - the Blues should play a much more attacking brand of football.

Petr Cech may now have edged in front of Thibaut Courtois in the race to be No 1 at the start of the season. The Belgian keeper has a minor injury which kept him out of the match.

Jose Mourinho is still to decide on his No 1

Courtois has now played only 45 minutes in Chelsea's nine pre-season matches so far this summer, while Cech has started five and played in another two.

Chelsea face Real Sociedad in their final pre-season match on Tuesday night. They play Burnley in the opening game of their Premier League season on Monday night at Turf Moor.
