Finnan recovers for Fulham's historic fixture
Thursday 19 September 2002
The Republic of Ireland right-back Steve Finnan is expected to make his comeback from a knee injury in Fulham's first Uefa Cup tie, against Hajduk Split in Croatia. He sat out Saturday's 3-0 demolition of Sunderland, but is now in line to replace Abdeslam Ouaddou. The winger Luis Boa Morte is struggling with a knee problem while Louis Saha is out with a hamstring injury.
Igor Stimac, the former Derby and West Ham player, is expected to feature for Hajduk, whose head coach is the former West Ham and Everton player Slaven Bilic. Nino Bule, who played with Fulham's midfielder Junichi Inamoto in Japan, is out with a leg injury. The key striker Tomislav Anzeg moved to Hiroshima earlier this month and Petr Krpan, who joined from Zagreb, is not eligible.
