Harry Kane is best known for ripping the back of the net with his scoring prowess, not tearing his shirt in two.

But up until the 81st minute of the dull affair at the Stadium of Light, the Tottenham striker's ruined jersey was arguably the most interesting thing that had happened in his side's victory over Sunderland.

During the game which Spurs won thanks to Ryan Mason's late winner, Kane's jersey was ripped in spectacular style.

With the Sunderland defence trying to keep close to the England striker, things went a bit far when the entire bottom half of the back of Kane's shirt was taken off.

The international hitman carried on for a few minutes until a replacement No 10 jersey was located.

The incident didn't go unnoticed on Twitter, with some speculating that Kane might have started a new fashion trend.

Kane is without a goal for Tottenham this season.
