Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has appeared to criticise Mario Balotelli for the controversial tweet he sent mocking Manchester United's 5-3 thrashing by Leicester City last Sunday.

The Italian striker wrote "Man Utd..LOL" on his Twitter page at the final whiste. A day before, however, Balotelli's Liverpool were on the wrong end of a 3-1 beating by West Ham at Upton Park. Something Redknapp was quick to remind the player of.

When asked whether he will ever start to use Twitter, Redknapp, who famously once said he didn't know how the send a text message, said: "No chance. I don't even know what it is. I don't understand it.

"There's people whose teams just got smashed up and the next day they're commenting on other people's teams.

"And I'm thinking, hang on, you lost last night."

Redknapp's QPR travel to Southampton on Saturday.
