A victory for Arsenal against Chelsea on Sunday and the season will not yet be over for the Gunners. It will be a miracle should it happen, but there is a chance Arsenal can still win the Premier League title, and this is (a fictitious account of) how:

Sunday

The Gunners defeat Chelsea, as Arsene Wenger gains his first ever win over arch nemesis Jose Mourinho. Seven points now separate the teams.

Chelsea return to winning ways, beating Nigel Pearson’s relegation-threatened Leicester. Their lead goes back to 10 points, although the Gunners have a game in hand.

Arsenal win away at Hull, while Crystal Palace shock Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, with one hand on the Premier League trophy, Mourinho’s men lose. Seven points between the sides.

Monday 11 May

Another Monday night game for Arsenal, and another victory – this time over Swansea at the Emirates. Chelsea drew with Liverpool the previous day, Brendan Rodgers’ side battling back from 2-0 goals down. Five points separate the teams.

Monday 18 May

Chelsea drop points again in a rocky finish to the season at West Brom, after being held to a goalless draw at the Hawthorns. Confident Arsenal, meanwhile continue their flying end to the season, winning at Old Trafford for the second time this season.

Wednesday 20 May

The Gunners waste the chance to go level on points with Chelsea, after being held to a 1-1 draw at home with Sunderland in their game in hand. The Blues still lead by two points, though, and the title race goes right to the wire.

Sunday 24 May

Chelsea are beaten at home by Sunderland, Stamford Bridge is in shock. Arsenal win against West Brom at home to seal their first league title since 2004 in quite unbelievable fashion. Mourinho immediately hands in his resignation in his post-match TV interview.
