With the Premier League table tight both at the top and the bottom - the January transfer window is still ever important half way through the season - and not just for clubs in the UK.

With rumours aplenty as ever, it can be difficult keeping up to date with the deals that have actually gone through, so here is a handy two-minute guide to the players that have switched sides so far this month.

The main deals have been: Wilfried Bony leaving Swansea to join Manchester City for £28m; Yaya Sanogo was sent on loan to Crystal Palace from Arsenal; Steven Gerrard announced he would be leaving the club to join LA Galaxy at the end of the season; Jermain Defoe left Canada to team up with Sunderland; German international Philipp Wollscheid joined Stoke until the end of the season; Mark Schwarzer moved to Leicester City; while Lukas Podolski joined Inter Milan from Arsenal on loan.
