Jose Mourinho criticised Leicester City’s ball boys, after his struggling Chelsea side lost for the ninth time in the Premier League this season following the 2-1 defeat at the King Power Stadium.

The Chelsea manager thought that the ball boys used time-wasting tactics late on in the game, but did not want his complaint to overshadow Leicester's "deserved" result.

“They [Leicester] fought with everything, they defended with everything, and the ball boys were amazing too,” he told Chelsea’s official website.

“I say the point about the ball boys because it’s a disgrace for the Premier League, but I want to make it clear I don’t want that story to be in front of a result Leicester deserved.”

In the match, the Foxes won thanks to goals from Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez to go back to the top of the Premier League.

Former Chelsea manager Claudio Ranieri’s side are now 20 points clear of Chelsea, who are currently just one point above the relegation zone in 16th place.
