Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is the second-favourite to be the first Premier League boss to be sacked this season, according to some bookmakers.

The Portuguese has endured a horrible start to the season that has seen Chelsea pick up just a point from their first two matches, while Mourinho was also involved in ugly episode with Chelsea doctor Eva Carneiro last week.

Some bookies have him as low as 7/1 to get the boot first this season, with only Sunderland manager Dick Advocaat - at evens with some - in front of Mourinho.

Odds have been slashed across the board after the heavy defeat to Manchester City on Sunday afternoon, with Mourinho going from around 25/1, one of the safer seats in the Premier League, to among the favourites.

The majority of bookmakers have him at around 12/1, with Advocaat, Watford manager Quique Flores and West Ham's Slaven Bilic the only managers ahead of him with most firms.

Mauricio Pochettino, Brendan Rodgers and Tim Sherwood are all in similar trouble, but it marks a great difference to last week, where Mourinho was ranked alongside Ronald Koeman, Steve McClaren and Roberto Martinez in the middle of the pack.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has the least pressure on him, as far as being sacked next, according to the bookies, with some offering odds of up to 100/1 for the Dutchman to be sacked next.
